Housed in the heart of Stadtpark, Steirereck’s modern and swanky facade was magical. Architectural and interior wise, it was 👌🏼✨💯 If you do want to know what I mean, make a reservation and see it for yourself 😂 The wild hare with kale and berberis was stunning and tasted as beautiful as the above picture looks. It gave me a very exquisite mouthfeel and paired inarguably well with the jus. With strong European roots, walking up the stairs of Epocha reminded me so much of the time I was in France. A lovely and homely ambience greeted us just as we were seated, with weathered timbers and bright green chairs standing out the most. The classic Dean Martin track, Volare - as if assuming its already strong presence, created an even greater European emphasis. The heirloom tomatoes were extraordinary to say the least, and was enhanced by a good amount of fresh cheese, olive oil, mint and basil. . . My first time having and seeing grouse on a tasting menu! This lean meat is less sweet than the usual pork or beef, and what surprised me was that it didn’t come off across pungent or exotic at all which I presumed it would.
